Why can’t I collect the debt myself?
It’s tempting to do it yourself and avoid paying the collection agency’s fee. Don’t underestimate the time and effort that goes into pursuing a single delinquent account, let alone several accounts! It’s quite time consuming and takes you away from your core business. NCC Recovery is a nationwide debt collections agency with professional bad debt recovery agents that use a variety of techniques; tracking down (skip tracing) the debtor, phone calls, sending letters, following up on the promises and broken promises and possibly filing a lawsuit.
Consider this: Hiring a bad debt recovery agency takes you out of the position of being the “Bad Guy”. Collection agencies are equipped with the tools on how to avoid complaints and deal with conflict.
What is “no collection-no fee” service?
Exactly as it sounds, if we do not get the debtor to pay you don’t owe us a dime. There is no set-up fee, no cancellation fee, and no per account fee, in other words, no collection-no fee.
Are there any up-front fees?
Simply… NO
Is it difficult to place an account into collections?
Not at all. All you have to do is fill out the Account Assignment Form and submit it to us. The form is completely secure. You can submit several accounts at once. We will send you an email acknowledgement after we have verified the account. If are looking to place a large volume of accounts contact us about other assignment options.
How do I get started?
Negotiate a rate, sign a contract and send us the info on the people or businesses that owe you money. Our bad debt recovery agents will get started collecting your delinquent accounts immediately.
How much do you charge and why do some agencies charge a lower rate?
Our rates are based on the number of accounts you have to collect, the age of the accounts, the balances and type of accounts. To collect accounts successfully they have to be worked diligently by bad debt recovery agents that know what they are doing. Be careful of collection agencies that charge a suspiciously low rate. They may not have your best interests at heart. Something to consider, “A Great Rate doesn’t mean Great Service.” It’s no secret in any business that you get what you pay for. Our rates are competitive and our service is excellent. Bottom line… We Get Results. “100% of nothing is still Nothing.”
What information do you need to collect my past due account?
Not much really, but the more information you have the better. We are excellent skip tracers (locating people that have skipped out). One big difference in NCC Recovery’s approach is that we encourage our collectors to call and get the details from you. This lets you know we are on the case and you can share details of the account.
How long does it take?
Depending on the complexity of the case we usually get results within 30 days of placement. It may take longer if we have to use a Payment Plan to work out payment.
When do I get paid if you collect?
We remit monthly on all accounts we have collected. The remittance comes to you with a detailed accounting of the payments for that month.
Do you file lawsuits?
We do! We always ask permission from the client prior to the filing of a lawsuit. At NCC Recovery we are happy to say that most of our cases get resolved prior to any legal action being taken.
Do you report to the Credit Bureaus?
We can but there are some variables to consider. You may want to do business with these people again after we collect the debt. The type of account might be disallowed from reporting by the Credit Bureau. Once it is reported on the Credit Bureau it is very difficult to get it removed. These are considerations we will discuss with you at the time of the contract.
What states can you collect in?
NCC Recovery is a nationwide debt collections agency providing national coverage for our clients. We are appropriately licensed in states and jurisdictions that require licensing and/or use an attorney local to your debtor who is.
